The Northern Illinois University College of Business has a program called BELIEF (Building Ethical Leaders within an Integrated Ethics Framework). This program is the conduit utilized to integrate ethics education throughout the College of Business. BELIEF has been in existence for over 8 years, and has gained national attention in the area of ethics education.
For the past few years, a group of business students have competed in an international ethics case competition in Arizona. A group of students from LEAD (Leaders in Ethics and Academic Discipline), BELIEF’s student organization, then started an NIU annual event that not only benefits the College of Business, but the entire university as well.
The 5th Annual NIU Ethics Case Competition will be held Friday, February 20, 2015, in DeKalb. Judges are needed with business backgrounds. Alumni and other business professionals are encouraged to contact Dr. William McCoy at email@example.com or via phone (815-753-7807) with any questions and/or to indicate your interest in participating.

“The most valuable benefit I receive from BELIEF is the ability to interact and gain greater understanding of how students, the future of business, approach decisions they make from an ethical perspective, and based on this interaction, I have tremendous confidence in the future of business in the US.”
– David McCoy, CFO, NB&T
